I cried when I saw Mer and Owen sitting at the table because those are quite honestly the only two people on earth that completely and fully understand Cristina Yang. I think that together, they will learn to survive without her. And even though that is devastating to think about, it’s what she would want. Those are the two people who really taught Cristina what it means to love another person. Their surprise appearance at the dinner epitomized Cristinas relationships with them for these last 10 seasons….she has always needed them more than she was willing to realize, and they have grown to understand that.

"I want you to. I want you to.”

c o m m u n i c a t i o n will forever be calzona’s downfall. until they seek individual and couples counseling.. i am fully, completely, wholeheartedly convinced. no need to throw a baby into this mix and no need to confuse life even more by making big choices when they cannot even make a a simple decision. lets take a step back and look at the big picture, ladies…

an unbreakable bond. twisted sisters forever.

when they show that godforsaken clip from 1x01 of richard webber saying “today, you are the doctors” in a greys anatomy episode/promo you can basically guarantee that shit is gonna go down

“Breathe, Dr. Yang. Don’t be crass. You’re skulking. Women of your generation are graceless, it’s an affront to nature. Mediocre surgeons will see you and feel themselves wilting in your shadow. Do not shrink to console them. Do not look for friends here; you won’t find them. None of these people have the capacity to understand you; they never will. If you’re lucky, one day, when you’re old and shriveled like me, you will find a young doctor with little regard for anything but their craft and you will train them like I trained you. Until then, read a good book. You have greatness in you, Yang… don’t disappoint.” — Grey’s Anatomy, 9x05

“Way to go, Lady Hulk.” — Stephanie Edwards to Jo Wilson, 10x20 “Go It Alone”

hey arizona that bathrobe looks familiar???? might be the one you once took off to get in the shower with leah??? yeah thats the one damn i knew id seen it before

that episode was so representative of how cristina yang has come around full circle. she rode in on that first day intern year on her motorcycle, the loner chick who was really there for herself and herself only. these last ten seasons we have watched her become someone who has learned to lean on other people and use their love and support as the foundation for becoming who she always wanted to be. now that cristina is ending her journey she has realized that the loner chick who was there for herself really did fulfill what she came for, which was to be someone who was so intensely passionate about her craft that she, and she alone, changed the face of medicine. in her journey, though, she became someone who also values the relationships and friendships she has formed with the same vigor she once reserved for surgery and self-fulfillment. bravo, cristina yang.

what’s a soulmate?
well, it’s like a best friend, but more. it’s the one person in the world that knows you better than anyone else. it’s someone who makes you a better person, well, actually they don’t make you a better person, you do that yourself- because they inspire you. a soulmate is someone who you carry with you forever. it’s the one person who knew you, and accepted you, and believed in you before anyone else did or when no one else would. and no matter what happens… you’ll always love them.
